New tank mix recommendation by the MSIRI.....

Two new herbicides in tank mix have been recommended during the weed management conference held at the Mauritius Sugar Industry Research Institute (MSIRI) on the 22nd November 2005. The herbicides are respectively Krismat WG and Dinamic WG. In tank mix the herbicides have been found to control a broad spectrum of weeds including weeds as l’herbe fataque, gros meinki, petit meinki which are normally hard to kill weeds.

The tank mix recommendation is as follows:

Krismat ( 2 kg / hectare) + Dinamic ( 1.25 – 1.5 kg / hectare)

An adjuvant should be added to above tank mix

Spraying to be done when weeds are relatively young

Higher rates of Dinamic to be used when longer residual activity is required
