Ireland Blyth Limited, one of the five largest trading groups in the Republic of Mauritius, was incorporated in 1972, following the merger of Blyth Brothers & Co Ltd and Ireland Fraser & Co Ltd. These two parent’s companies had been trading in Mauritius since the early 19th century.
Ireland Blyth Limited remained a private company until 1994 when it was converted into a public company and became listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
Ireland Blyth Limited has a wide range of activities, grouped into 10 Business Units, one of which is Agriculture and Construction.
The Agrochemicals Operations
One of the key business activity within the Agriculture & Construction Business Unit is the Agrochemicals Operation.
Ireland Blyth Limited has been entrusted with the distribution of agrochemicals products from world leaders in that field and in that capacity, has played a major role in crop protection in Mauritius.
Milestones
· In the seventies, introduction of the first synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, in our move towards safer products.
· Decentralisation of supplies towards major production areas throughout the island in the late eighties and early nineties.
· Promoting quality food production with the introduction of high yielding and disease resistant seed varieties.

Our Market Coverage
Agrochemicals operates nine sales and service outlets, spread out over the whole island. Agrochemicals staff are trained and provide full technical support to its customers on crop protection.
